In the 1980s, the unborn baby Niannian in Su Jinxiu's womb awakens with tragic memories of a past life. To change the fate of their ruined family, Niannian continuously warns her mother, helping clear her father Chen Jianjun of false accusations. The couple leases an abandoned tree nursery and establishes a temporary rescue station for wildlife, taking in protected animals like lynxes and golden snub-nosed monkeys. Zhou Wancai, the original zoo director, colludes with corrupt officials to smuggle wild animals and constantly undermines the rescue station. Armed with critical evidence like recordings from a hill myna and smuggling ledgers, Su Jinxiu and her husband overcome harassment, difficult labor, and petitions to finally bring down the criminal ring. The rescue shelter expands into a real zoo, and the family embarks on a brand new life.
