Shen Yu, an introverted food blogger, accidentally travels back to an ancient era of famine and becomes an orphaned girl from a fishing village who is on the verge of death. She is bound to a "Food Radar System." Faced with an empty home and younger siblings who have nothing to eat, she follows the system's guidance to forage along the shore, find overlooked treasures, make ice to preserve food, and prepare salted fish and fermented-rice-wine lees rice balls. She leads two impoverished villages in breaking the monopoly of unscrupulous merchants and carves out a way to survive in the midst of famine. While constantly feeding her younger siblings, she uses modern knowledge to build infrastructure, fight local bullies, and construct a new house. She also demonstrates astonishing survival skills while searching for someone at sea. This is the story of an introverted young woman forced to stand tall, change her fate against all odds with her skills and intelligence, and save an entire village along the way.
