On the eve of the Qinglan Sect's annual joint cultivation, the Concentric Jade Slip at the Merit Hall suddenly begins crediting all achievements solely to the Main Peak. Joint results from the Spiritual Herb Garden and the Trial Hall are continuously lumped into one place, sparking resentment and division among the disciples. Lin Yanzhou, an investigative record-keeping disciple, follows the trail of merit ledgers, tally sticks, and wooden markers. He discovers that Xie Chengyue, steward of the Main Peak, kept using a temporary single-peak recording method to prevent confusion in accountability during multi-party cultivation. Lin Yanzhou unites the halls to re-audit records item by item and phase in fair merit distribution. In the end, honors are rightfully restored, and the Qinglan Sect learns that true strength lies not in a single peak outshining the rest, but in lifting one another up.
