As the battle at the Ghost Tower of a Hundred Altars draws to an end, Wang Jin discovers another bizarre immortal elixir amidst the ruins, bringing the Three Immortal Islands—silent for two centuries—back to the surface. In order to refine the magical treasure of Underworld Earth, he and Meiniang temporarily reside on Chengnan Mountain. After saving a little fox, they uncover the White Lotus Sect's sinister plot to steal incense and burn down the temple. The Chouniu spirit summoned by scattering beans pursues the culprit and gets embroiled in a bloody massacre at Qinghua Mansion, triggering a fierce clash against the quasi-drought demon Heishi. Maotu of Changsheng Mansion arrives riding a flying sword, joining forces with the self-defending Shanhe Sword to slay Baizhi of Penglai. Wang Jin opens the path of rebirth for over a hundred fallen night watchmen, while the dying words left by Baizhi—'Undying Immortal'—reawaken secrets buried two centuries ago.
