On a rainy Mid-Autumn night, Gao Yufen takes in her husband's ex-wife's two daughters. With a straightforward and rough manner, she often scares the children, but whenever the sisters face hardship, she always steps forward to protect them. Tangtang is timid and dares not eat meat; Sining is used to enduring things alone. Gao Yufen slowly guides the two sisters, telling them they don't need to walk on eggshells at home, and making a mistake won't mean being abandoned. Twenty years pass in a flash, and the sisters achieve success in their careers, buying a new home for Gao Yufen.
