Records of Lost Treasures of Great Jing: The City Without Hunger
Seven thousand commoners are trapped in a famine, yet official records report zero deaths. Everyone struggles to survive, while the entire city celebrates a bountiful harvest. Ming Zhao, a disgraced scholar-official being exiled, passes through Qinghe County and sees through the illusion created by the official text of the Ode to Eternal Abundance. When everyone is stripped of their ability to perceive hunger and cold, he carries the Fragmentary Scroll of All Living Beings, which can restore the truth. Together with a court historian and a military general, he gradually uncovers the truth about the disaster that has been concealed.
