Jiang Mian was gentle by nature and would only endure in silence even when hit on the head by a basketball. Su Tao, the childhood friend of her boyfriend Pei Yanxiao, publicly accused her of being a "manipulative green tea," splashed water on her at a dinner party, and framed her for stealing a ring—yet Pei Yanxiao took Su Tao's side every single time. When Jiang Mian proposed breaking up, Pei Yanxiao didn't believe her. On a typhoon night, Pei Yanxiao wore Bluetooth earbuds during a livestream to appease her while Su Tao stirred up trouble through the earphones; Jiang Mian refunded the money and left in the rain. The next day, when she went to pick up her dog A Hua, she discovered that Su Tao had taken the dog away, and A Hua had been struck and killed by a car. Jiang Mian slapped Su Tao, only to be pushed down by Pei Yanxiao. Leaving behind her abortion report, she took A Hua's ashes and walked away without looking back.
