Zhong Mengmeng returns to her hometown to start a business and manages a cherry orchard. She pays out of her own pocket to dig a flood-control drainage ditch to solve the mountain village's flooding problems, but her paternal uncle leads the opposition, and villagers superstitiously insist that she fill in the ditch for the sake of feng shui. The next day, torrential rain triggers a landslide and mudslide. With no drainage ditch to divert the water, her uncle's campsite and the villagers' market stalls are completely destroyed. Para solucionar las inundaciones de la aldea montañosa, paga de su propio bolsillo la excavación de una zanja de drenaje contra las crecidas. Sin embargo, su tío paterno encabeza la oposición y los aldeanos, obsesionados con el feng shui, la obligan a rellenarla. Al día siguiente, las lluvias torrenciales provocan un deslizamiento de tierra y un alud de barro. Sin una zanja que desvíe el agua, quedan completamente destruidos el campamento que acaba de construir su tío y los puestos de los aldeanos. Al comprender por fin su error, todos acuden a casa de Zhong Mengmeng para disculparse sinceramente.
