Remaining Warmth by the Pond
An old scar on the hand of shrimp farmer Lin Yuan brands the painful memory of last year's total collapse of the shrimp pond. Having suffered a heavy blow, and carrying a lingering sense of guilt, he returns to guard the entire shrimp pond once again. With a near-obsessive precision regarding water temperature, ammonia-nitrogen levels, and feeding amounts, refusing to let even a 0.1 numerical deviation slide, he carefully selects shrimp fry, studies aquaculture forecasting software, and time and again resolves crises brought by heavy rain, equipment failure, and sudden water quality changes. Facing high-priced temptations unmoved, he holds fast to his original aquaculture principles.
