When 28-year-old programmer Ji Heng went to renew his national ID card, he was shocked to find an 18-year-old 'daughter' named Qian Kexin listed under his household registry. Three years ago, someone forged his signature to transfer the girl into his school-district residency to qualify for enrollment. Instead of apologizing, the girl's parents brazenly demanded 100,000 yuan from him for her college tuition. Rather than acting rashly, Ji Heng launched a lawful investigation and secured solid evidence, ultimately bringing the forgery and illegal household registration to light. Qian Kexin, innocent yet resilient, comes to realize that her own hard work is her true foundation. A story of defending one's rights within the law, upholding boundaries, and never blaming the innocent.
