Mu Nihuang, the daughter of a distinguished military family, gave everything to help Shen Qingyan rise to the position of Prime Minister and devoted twenty painstaking years to raising his son, Shen An. At Shen An's capping ceremony, she discovers the shocking truth: Shen An is actually the illegitimate child of her husband and the medicine woman He Lian, while her own biological son, Mu Ye, was abandoned in a horse stable to suffer from infancy. Plotting her retribution in secret, Mu Nihuang kills Shen An with indulgent praise while rigorously training Mu Ye. At the autumn hunt, Mu Ye reveals the Mu family's exclusive spear technique, and a blood-testing ritual exposes the baby-swapping conspiracy. Driven to desperate fury, Shen Qingyan colludes with foreign enemies in treason, but Mu Nihuang leads the army to suppress the rebellion and bring all villains to justice. Conferred the title of Great Female General of the State, Mu Nihuang reunites with Mu Ye, and mother and son finally embrace their glorious destiny.
