Gu Yanche, captain of an international security team, was separated for four years from his wife, Sheng Zhixia, whom he had never met, due to missions. Upon returning with severe injuries, fate brought him to Kyoto Hospital where his wife worked. As the lead surgeon, Sheng Zhixia "reunited" with her unconscious husband on the operating table. However, after the surgery, Gu Yanche fell in love at first sight with the doctor who saved his life, and misleading interference from his fallen comrade's widow, Luo Nanzhi, triggered a crisis of marital trust. Gu Yanche mistakenly believed his wife cheated, while Sheng Zhixia believed her husband had long betrayed her. Unaware of each other's true identities, they began a battle over divorce. Ultimately, amidst conflicts and misunderstandings, they gradually fell in love with each other, untangled their knots, and became true companions.
