The journey home for the Mid-Autumn Festival conceals a deadly peril! Lao Qiao, a veteran driver, strictly upholds the bottom line of passenger transport safety. However, his former apprentice, Gao Dawei, uses an unlicensed fleet and cut-rate fares to snatch away his passengers. Teacher Zhou, seeking convenience for over thirty high school seniors, chooses the illegal vans and even accuses Lao Qiao of being stubborn and inflexible. Lao Qiao is forced to transfer to a remote rural route, barely getting by. Driven by greed and desperate to evade traffic police inspections, Gao Dawei overloads his vehicle and takes a perilous mountain route without guardrails. On Mid-Autumn Eve, a sudden torrential downpour causes the unlicensed van's brakes to fail, leaving it teetering on the edge of a cliff and the students' lives hanging by a thread. With the accident paralyzing the road home, everyone comes to their senses and begs Lao Qiao to step up. Rising to the crisis, he opens a dedicated student escort line, safely bringing the children home on reunion night.
