On Barren Land, I Made a Comeback by Growing Vegetables After Being Wronged
In the autumn of 1993, Zhao Maishou is framed by his younger brother, Zhao Baocai, who forges a will and seizes the family's fertile farmland, ancestral home, and savings, leaving him with nothing but barren land. His wife sells her dowry to support him. Learning farming techniques from Uncle Sun, Zhao Maishou builds greenhouses on the wasteland and grows safe, organic vegetables without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. His younger brother repeatedly sabotages his crops at night and spreads malicious rumors, but Zhao Maishou patiently gathers evidence and exposes the forged will, using the law to reclaim justice.
