Rebirth: Phoenix Singing in Shanghai
In the twelfth year of the Republic of China, all thirty-seven members of the Shen family in Shanghai were massacred overnight, and the legitimate daughter Shen Zhiwei was shot to death by Military Governor Zhao Heting amidst the flying snow. Opening her eyes again, she returns to the age of sixteen—the poisonous cake is still in the dish, the enemies are smiling, and all tragedies have yet to happen. In this lifetime, she gathers hidden lines, establishes commercial firms, allies with the young marshal, and borrows the green gang, stepping carefully in the ten-mile foreign concession to completely overturn the man-eating chessboard of that year. When the green-robed young master, the cold-faced young marshal, the refined compradors, and the green gang bosses all enter her game, she finally understands that rebirth is not to die once more, but to make everyone in this city who owes her pay back principal and interest, blood for blood.
