After Rebirth, I Turn My Life Around and Support My Family in 1998
In 1998, on the very day Lin Hongmei is jilted by her fiancé, she is also laid off. The entire factory is waiting to laugh at her, but no one knows that in her previous life, this was the day her twenty years of poverty began. Given a second chance, she takes over a rundown storefront on the street corner that has been up for rent for three months. A bowl of noodles costs just three yuan, and customers can eat their fill. More importantly, she wins the hearts of laid-off workers and brings them into her restaurant. Her neighbors laugh at her, her former fiancé expects her business to fail, and the restaurant across the street is waiting for her to go bankrupt. But she knows that over the next three years, she must seize every opportunity brought by housing reform, enterprise restructuring, and the wave of people going into business. With nothing but a bowl of noodles, she will reclaim every debt life owed her in her previous existence, one by one.
