Reborn in the Eighties: The Cook Takes Charge
Reborn back to 1988, when Zhao Hongmei opens her eyes, she is being treated by her whole family as a jinx who brings misfortune to her husband and family. Her mother-in-law scolds her for being wasteful, her husband is dutiful to a fault and silent, and the villagers are waiting to watch a joke. In her past life, she was weak, bullied, and died alone; in this lifetime, holding a hand of great culinary skills, starting from the full-month banquet she was pushed into, she slaps the whole village in the face with a pot of Nine-Turn Large Intestines. Pig offal is made into hearty dishes, road-side stalls are simmered into aged master-broth, and a tricycle rolls out the Red Plum Restaurant. She lives a messy life, turning it thriving and prosperous.
