Transported to 1980, Lu Yang takes the place of the original owner and faces the burden left by the deaths of his three elder brothers: three widowed sisters-in-law, eight children, and his aging parents. He shoulders the responsibility of providing for all fifteen family members. After awakening a copper-coin hunting system that can precisely locate prey in the mountains and rivers, Lu Yang turns over a new leaf and cuts ties with the local thug Liu Erjing. He hunts in the mountains, catches fish in the rivers, and gathers precious medicinal herbs to sell game and wild produce to restaurants in town for income. He observes proper boundaries with his sisters-in-law, entrusts the household finances to his eldest sister-in-law to manage, provides his family with food, clothing, and daily necessities, and supports the children's education.
