Chu Fei, a poor unaffiliated formation master, ventures into Shadow Valley in search of a chance to turn his fortunes around. Relying on his understanding of formation rules, he deceives the natural barrier, only to become entangled in the Mo family's struggle for the Nine-Leaf Stargrass. During his escape, he meets Ye Qingluo, a professional treasure hunter. Their relationship develops from a mutually beneficial partnership into one of mutual support as they repeatedly break deadly formations in snow caves, quicksand fields, and underground ruins. Hunted by Mo Wuhen, Chu Fei turns the rules of spatial resetting against his pursuers and seizes the core map. In the end, although both have exhausted their spiritual energy and suffered severe injuries, they support each other into the Hundred Thousand Mountains, protecting the map and preserving the hope that intelligence and trust can lead them out of desperate situations.

Chu Fei, un pobre cultivador independiente y maestro de formaciones, se adentra en el Valle de las Sombras Espectrales en busca de una oportunidad para cambiar su destino. Gracias a su comprensión de las reglas de las formaciones, consigue engañar a la barrera natural, pero acaba involucrado en la disputa de la familia Mo por la Hierba Estelar de Nueve Hojas. Durante su huida, conoce a Ye Qingluo, una cazatesoros profesional. Lo que comienza como una colaboración por interés se convierte en una relación de apoyo mutuo. Juntos desactivan sucesivas formaciones mortales en cuevas de nieve, zonas de arenas movedizas y ruinas subterráneas. Cuando Mo Wuhen lo persigue, Chu Fei aprovecha las reglas del reinicio espacial para contraatacar y hacerse con el mapa central. Finalmente, aunque ambos han agotado su energía espiritual y están gravemente heridos, se ayudan mutuamente a entrar en las Diez Mil Montañas, protegiendo tanto el mapa como la esperanza de que la inteligencia y la confianza puedan sacarlos de cualquier situación desesperada.
