Zhao Daqiang, who became abruptly rich from demolition compensation, monopolizes the community rooftop for a late-night party, causing noise pollution, blocking the fire escape, smashing rights-protection lawyer Lin Xiaoyu's phone, and even slandering veteran Grandpa Li who stepped in to stop him as a scammer staging a fall. Property Manager Wang, mindful of Zhao owning multiple apartments, blindly plays peacemaker. Warm-hearted Auntie Song teams up with Lin Xiaoyu to pick up the Civil Code and Fire Protection Law to gather evidence and defend their rights, cleverly using a fireworks standoff to awaken the other party. Zhao Daqiang, in annoyance, blocks the rooftop escape door, ultimately causing a fire by illegally rigging wires, trapping the entire building in a dangerous plight. After the fire incident, all homeowners jointly hold him accountable.
