Jiang Man, a spirited girl from Northeast China, arrives in Taiwan for university only to get scammed on her very first night by an unscrupulous real estate agent who leased the same apartment twice. From then on, fiery Northeastern bluntness clashes with gentle Taiwanese cadence. She is feisty, outspoken, and never holds back against two-faced rivals; he is gentle, shy, loves to cook, and gets completely wrapped around her finger. Together, they confront the rogue broker, split the rent and utility bills, and feast on hearty Northeastern stew late at night—evolving from bickering rivals into sweet lovers.
