Recognizing Each Other Ten Years Too Late
Ten years ago, twelve-year-old Xu Nianchu rescued ten-year-old Gu Jingchuan, who had been kidnapped, in a back alley in Haicheng. She helped him escape the human traffickers and called Uncle Zheng to take him home. Before they parted, Gu Jingchuan gave her a cloud-patterned jade pendant and promised, "Once I find my mom and dad, I'll come back for it." While protecting him, Xu Nianchu was cut on her right wrist by a knife, leaving an old scar. Ten years later, Gu Jingchuan has become the president of Gu Group. Using the jade pendant, he tracks down a restaurant to find his savior and repay her kindness. However, his aunt, Su Guifang, makes Xu Nianchu's cousin, Fang Mingzhu, use the pendant to falsely claim that she was the one who saved him. She also uses the debt and favor owed for the money she lent to treat Xu Nianchu's mother to force Xu Nianchu into silence and make her back down.

Il y a dix ans, Xu Nianchu, alors âgée de douze ans, a sauvé Gu Jingchuan, un garçon de dix ans qui avait été enlevé, dans une ruelle à l'arrière de Haicheng. Elle l'a aidé à échapper aux trafiquants d'êtres humains et a appelé l'oncle Zheng pour le ramener chez lui. Avant de se séparer, Gu Jingchuan lui a remis un pendentif en jade orné de motifs de nuages et lui a promis : « Quand j'aurai retrouvé mon papa et ma maman, je reviendrai le chercher. » En le protégeant, Xu Nianchu a été blessée au poignet droit par un couteau, ce qui lui a laissé une ancienne cicatrice. Dix ans plus tard, Gu Jingchuan est devenu le président du groupe Gu. Grâce au pendentif en jade, il retrouve un restaurant afin de rechercher sa bienfaitrice et de lui rendre sa bonté. Cependant, sa tante, Su Guifang, demande à Fang Mingzhu, la cousine de Xu Nianchu, de prendre le pendentif et de prétendre être celle qui lui a sauvé la vie. Elle utilise également la dette et la gratitude liées à l'argent qu'elle avait prêté autrefois pour soigner la mère de Xu Nianchu afin de la contraindre à se taire et à céder.
