Prince Liang was immensely pleased with Yu Nu, the concubine taken to dispel bad fortune, whose jade-like beauty was peerless in the world. Little Yu Nu loved him deeply, her affection beyond restraint. When other men coveted her, she chose death over dishonor. When he faced assassination, she risked her life to shield him from the blade. When he fell ill, she knelt before the Buddha all night in prayer. Even so, Prince Liang still believed a concubine was merely a concubine, never fit to be his wife. Upon hearing of Yu Nu's accidental death, his heart felt utterly empty and lost. Yet the bond forged fighting side by side in war could never outweigh a single tear from his white moonlight, the Eldest Princess. The moment Prince Liang chose to save the Eldest Princess on the city wall, Li Yuran smiled sorrowfully and leapt into the sea of fire.
