Continuing from the climax of Season 1, Concubine Hui Liu Qinglv allies with Zhang Gongcheng to thwart Noble Consort Hua Murong Qing's plot to seize the secret formula for Ru ware. Although the military power of the Noble Consort's clan is suppressed for now, she secretly prepares her next moves. While the superficial injustice surrounding the official kiln is resolved, the ultimate Ru ware secret buried deep in the imperial ancestral tombs—implicating the late emperor's usurpation—has yet to come to light. As greater corrupt forces lurk in the shadows, Season 2 ties up all previous foreshadowing to launch an even deeper palace struggle.
