The man was once Lord Wu'an, the guardian of the frontier, and Li Shengnan, the female God of War of the North, was merely his least capable disciple. Having fought away from home for years, his wife waited bitterly and died with deep regret. Now, mindful of Lord Wu'an's past merits, the sovereign decides to confer the title of Grand General upon his daughter. Just as Lord Wu'an brings the news before his late wife's grave, his daughter cuts him off coldly, rebuking him for staying away for so many years while she and her mother struggled alone, and questioning his hypocritical display at her mother's grave. Can father and daughter untie the knot of grievance and reconcile?
