Qi Xu, a waiter at a KTV, accidentally runs into Jiang Nanyan, the female chairwoman of the Jiang family who is being bullied by a customer. After saving the damsel in distress, Qi Xu is used by Jiang Nanyan as an antidote and has one of his pair of necklaces taken away as a token. Six years later, in order to pay for the medical treatment of his foster mother who is in a vegetative state, Qi Xu goes to work as a brick mover at the Jiang Group's construction site. The coworkers mock Qi Xu for being a bachelor. Meanwhile, Jiang Nanyan arrives at the construction site with Tuanbao to inspect it.
