Selected for Draft and Accused of Losing Purity, I Made the Noble Consort Present Proof First
Xie Hengwu, the eldest daughter of the Xie family, participated in the final imperial palace selection and was framed by Noble Consort Qi Luan. Qi Luan bribed the wet nurse to falsely accuse her of losing her purity and fabricated evidence of a secret meeting, aiming to ruin Xie Hengwu and overthrow the Xie family. Guided by the warning of her tragic death in her previous life, Xie Hengwu instead interrogated the witnesses on details, requested to retrieve the Empress Dowager's secret palace archives, exposed the fake physical examination record and forged jade pendant evidence, and uncovered proof that the Noble Consort had illicit relations with the imperial guards and tampered with documents, leading to the Noble Consort's deposition. Unreconciled, the remaining faction of the Qi family then falsely accused Xie Hengwu's brother of treason, framing them by poisoning during the Empress Dowager's birthday banquet. Xie Hengwu joined forces with the Empress Dowager to set up a trap for a counter-kill. Afterward, the Empress Dowager revised palace regulations, and Xie Hengwu was bestowed the title of Zhaoyi. The lingering soul of her previous life dissipated; she protected her family and no longer needed to humbly prove her innocence.
