Su Zhiwei, the orphaned daughter of the Su embroidery workshop, has borne the cruel label of being born under an ill-fated star that brings misfortune to her family since childhood. She was adopted and raised by the Song family. On her wedding day, her fiancé, Feng Ruilin, publicly breaks off their engagement, while her adoptive younger sister, Wang Xinger, takes her place in the bridal sedan. Her adoptive mother, Wang Caifeng, then drives her out of the house that very night.
