Dividing the Family, Unlocking the Sea God's Fishhook
Xu Lang's parents died when he was young, leaving him and his two siblings to live with their uncle's family. They went out to sea to fish and took care of the household, but their earnings were seized by their uncle, Xu Youqing, and aunt, Wang Guixiang. After their grandfather died, the uncle and aunt gave the new fishing boat and oyster beds to their own son, leaving Xu Lang only a dilapidated boat and a barren tidal flat. With nowhere else to turn, Xu Lang discovered an old fishhook left behind by his father. The hook could nourish the surrounding waters, quickly attracting fish, shrimp, and shellfish to the barren shore and transforming it into a treasure trove. Faced with injustice and hostility from his clan, Xu Lang refused to back down. Through hard work and fortunate opportunities, he built a thriving business, ultimately making a name for himself and earning the villagers' respect.
