When Chang Zheng's critically ill wife, Su Tang, publicly announces on her deathbed that she has transferred their house, storefront, and savings to her former flame Jiang Yan, she also claims that their child is not his. Investigating the matter, Chang Zheng discovers that Jiang Yan died years ago. The whole ordeal is an elaborate scam orchestrated by Su Tang's uncle, Su Shoucheng, who forged debts, faked identities, embezzled assets, and even registered the child under a dead man's name. To his shock, a paternity test reveals that four-year-old Chang Nian is indeed his biological son. In a tense confrontation at a teahouse, Chang Zheng uses recordings to expose the truth behind a car crash four years ago, bringing Su Shoucheng and his accomplices to justice. Ultimately, he chooses to let go of hatred, embracing his duty as a father to give Chang Nian a loving, complete home.
