27-year-old Zhou Nian and the wild, playboy Lu Yan have been together for three years in a relationship of mutual convenience—she indulged in his physical charm and the novelty, while he enjoyed her sensible and undemanding nature. With Lu Yan's constant infidelity and cold shoulder, Zhou Nian has long grown exhausted. Prompted by her mother's pressure to get married and a manager position offered by a branch office in her hometown, she resolves to end the relationship. Facing Lu Yan's usual arrogance and breakup threats, Zhou Nian no longer backs down this time and decisively calls it quits, walking away completely. Yet Lu Yan, who always acted like he never cared, unexpectedly comes chasing after her.
