After waking up from a three-year slumber, Sheng Xuanxiao discovers that his daughter, Shen Bao, who has been away for years, has returned home. Shen Bao is lively and adorable, loves to bicker with him, and affectionately calls him "Old Third Sheng." Although Sheng Xuanxiao acts reluctant on the surface, he secretly enjoys having a daughter in his life. After moving into the Sheng family home, Shen Bao uses her innocence and kindness to help her family resolve their emotional knots.
