Watch the Fat Mother Help Her Son Ascend the Throne
Li Zhaoyun travels from the 22nd century into the fictional ancient Great Liang dynasty depicted in a book, becoming Lady Li, a concubine in the imperial harem and the mother of the Emperor's eldest son. In the original story, because both mother and son are overweight, they are despised by the Grand Empress Dowager, the Emperor, and all the ministers, eventually meeting tragic deaths in the palace. Determined to turn their fate around, Li Zhaoyun starts by getting her son to lose weight alongside her. Using a time-space supermarket, she repeatedly foils Noble Consort Yu's schemes, including the poisoning incident involving the Grand Empress Dowager, a foreign delegation's visit, and a rebellious vassal prince's uprising. She also saves the Grand Empress Dowager and the Emperor, protects the nation's borders and ensures the people's safety.
