Pei Yan, a multi-millionaire CEO harboring a long-time crush on Jiang Zhi—the tutor from his teenage years—disguises himself as a broke, down-and-out college student and knocks on her door on a stormy night. Using pity ploys to win sympathy, deceptive sweetness to lower her guard, and faked allergy sickness to sabotage her dates, he calculates every move to move into her apartment. Jiang Zhi shifts from wary to soft-hearted, and from establishing a strict one-meter distance rule to having her defenses completely collapse, before finally uncovering the truth behind this "poverty scam." But after she angrily kicks him out, the long-scheming hunter finally reveals his true fangs—and she has nowhere left to run.
