Qi Xu, a waiter at a KTV, accidentally runs into Jiang Nanyan, the female chairwoman of the Jiang family who is being bullied by a customer. After saving the damsel in distress, Qi Xu is used by Jiang Nanyan as an antidote and has one of his pair of necklaces taken away as a token. Six years later, in order to pay for the medical treatment of his foster mother who is in a vegetative state, Qi Xu goes to work as a brick mover at the Jiang Group's construction site. Après que Qi Xu ait sauvé la belle, il est utilisé par Jiang Nanyan comme antidote et se fait prendre un de ses colliers en guise de gage.
