Sixty-Eight Thousand Eight Hundred, Brother-In-Law Will Not Pay The Bill
During the Mid-Autumn Festival family banquet, brother-in-law Lin Yao grandly puts on airs, treating the whole family to seafood at a luxury hotel, with a table totaling 68,800. When paying the bill, he has no money on his card, forcefully pressing live-in son-in-law Gu Yan to pay the advance. Gu Yan is unwilling to be a pushover anymore, immediately digging out old accounts, every single entry being Lin Yao treating guests while he himself pays the bill. He refuses to pay and snaps a photo of the bill to send to the family group chat, letting the person who invited pay their own bill. Lin Yao wriggles out of it in every possible way, mother-in-law and relatives taking turns with moral kidnapping, Gu Yan pushes back with a single sentence: For me not to pay lacks human touch, for you not to pay means you have no money. In the end, Lin Yao forcibly pays the bill but the payment fails, losing all face.
