Returning from time travel, Li Qingzhao brings high-yield crop seeds, agricultural treatises, and practical sciences from nine hundred years in the future back to the Northern Song dynasty. Broadcast live across the sky screen, the entire city views her either as a celestial maiden or denounces her as a sorceress concealing heretical books. Before the imperial throne, she candidly presents the famine-relieving seeds, yet the conservative Old Party relentlessly corners her over the missing modern texts she didn't bring back. With her father arranging a marriage for political backing, Sima Guang orchestrating entrapments, and local gentry sabotaging fields and water supplies, she walks on thin ice. Only Shen Zhiyuan, across nine centuries and through a tenuous two-minute connection, helps her navigate lethal traps. With her proclamation that women hold up half the sky shaking court and country, a calculated struggle for salvation unfolds.
