After twenty-five years apart, Cheng Xiuzhi conceals her identity as a wealthy businesswoman and visits the breakfast stall run by her son, Fang Maosheng, to find her family. At this time, Fang Maosheng is suffering from extortion and mistreatment by freight station owner Cui Dakui. After mother and son recognize each other, Cheng Xiuzhi quietly protects him and helps him recover his losses. Later, she tracks down her daughter Fang Yulan, helps her stand against He Derong who plagiarized her pastry-making craft, and exposes his infringement plot at the trade fair through sheer culinary skill. Overcoming many hardships, the family resolves old misunderstandings and comforts the spirit of their late father. Relying on their traditional pastry craft, two generations safeguard their livelihoods, and the separated family is finally reunited.
