Axue, a young girl from the plateau, displays an extraordinary gift for skiing using a board she crafted from scrap wood. However, with her grandmother gravely ill, she hesitates to leave for professional training in the provincial capital. When a fierce blizzard damages the border fence, Axue braves the elements to report the danger. Backed by Coach Fang, Uncle Xue, and her fellow villagers, Axue joins the provincial team despite facing skepticism over her makeshift gear. Overcoming snapped ski boards and countless obstacles with the support of her village, she fights her way through national qualifiers onto the world stage, raising the national flag above the snowline. After winning the championship, Axue returns home to establish a ski academy, passing on the traditional craft of wooden ski making and inspiring her community's youth to chase their winter dreams.
