I'm Just a Top Scholar, Why Are You Messing with Me?
My name is Li You, and I'm the top scholar of this year's imperial examination. Ten years of studying by candlelight have earned me a sixth-rank editorial post. On my very first day at court, I overturned the Chancellor's wine table, then personally smashed his schemes in the imperial hall. Some say I'm currying favor with the Duke's mansion, that accepting him as my sworn father is genuine, but refusing to live in his residence is only proper. Shen Zhijie practically dragged me into becoming sworn brothers with him. From then on, I gained a reckless elder brother—and a whole lot of trouble. But even though I, Li You, may get nervous, my backbone is unyielding. I will never betray the position and identity I have earned.
Main characters: Li You, Shen Zhijie
