Recent graduates Xu Anran, Jiang Yu, and Liu Yiyi are apartment hunting in the big city when an agent shows them an affordable ground-floor unit in a great location. The three sign the lease and move in. Soon, foul odors linger, seepage exposes old stains, and a forgotten name unearths an event from ten years ago. When the agent refuses a refund, they agree to look out for each other. One night, Xu Anran returns to find an entrance to a secret basement hidden beneath the bed; exhaust fans, warning monitors, and violent barking quickly follow. Blueprint sketches point to a hidden room behind the wall. After being laid off, Jiang Yu heeds the warnings and smashes through the partition late at night—revealing a scene that freezes everyone in horror.
