This drama tells the story of Zhou Zheng, a veteran airline captain with fifteen years of service and a spotless record. Out of family loyalty, he spent seven years supporting his younger brother-in-law, Jiang Ye, whose father had died when he was young. Zhou Zheng paid for his education, pulled strings to get him a job in airport cleaning, and continued subsidizing his mother-in-law, Li Guilan. Yet all his generosity was repaid with betrayal. Jiang Ye was lazy and unmotivated at work, repeatedly arriving late and leaving early, and was facing elimination as one of the worst performers. Angry that Zhou Zheng refused to keep using his connections to secure him a pilot position without limits, Jiang Ye cropped out crucial information from a photograph of the crew meal Zhou Zheng had properly registered and taken home, then reported him to the disciplinary inspection commission for allegedly stealing flight supplies.
