Subbing for the Bride, the Lame Second Young Master: He Is Actually Faking It
Jiang Mian, the second young miss of the Jiang family, was born with low energy and a Buddhist-like temperament. She was forced to take her sister Jiang Yao's place in marrying Huo Shao, the Huo family's second young master rumored to have paralyzed legs. On their wedding night, her shocking words proposing that they act as stand-ins for each other instead sparked Huo Shao's interest and affection. After the marriage, Huo Shao pretended to be weak in a wheelchair while secretly plotting behind the scenes, repeatedly protecting Jiang Mian from Huo Jingxing's plots and traps. Unable to bear Huo Jingxing's exploitation, Jiang Yao turned against him and handed over evidence. At the anniversary banquet, Huo Shao stood up in public to reveal the secret and completely brought down Huo Jingxing. Going from a contract marriage to developing genuine feelings, Jiang Mian also broke free from the shackles of her original family and harvested a fulfilled ending.
