Special Forces Soldier in a Year of Famine: Starting From Hunting to Become Emperor
Qin Shuo, a special forces soldier, is shot and killed while carrying out a counterterrorism mission. When he awakens, he discovers that he has traveled through time and become a young farmer who has been mentally disabled for eighteen years. He also finds himself with a wife, Su He, who married into the family after fleeing famine. A severe drought has struck, leaving Tiger Village with no harvest at all. Yuan Lao'er, the grain tax collector, arrives to demand grain and attempts to forcibly take Su He away. To protect his wife, Qin Shuo fights back, using his special forces combat skills to defeat the government officers. He then makes a wager with Yuan Lao'er: he must gather one thousand jin of grain within seven days. Relying on his wilderness survival skills, Qin Shuo ventures into the mountains to hunt, setting traps, catching fish, and hunting wild boars. Within just a few days, he manages to gather enough grain. After losing the bet, Yuan Lao'er becomes furious and launches a nighttime raid with expert fighters from an armed escort agency, only to be intimidated by Qin Shuo's homemade bamboo firearm. From surviving a year of famine to raising the banner of rebellion, Qin Shuo begins his journey toward becoming emperor.
