At the family meeting, geological engineer Lin Yan was jointly marginalized by his cousin Lin Chengzong and second uncle, receiving only an unvalued, dilapidated air-raid shelter in the back mountain. Using his professional knowledge, Lin Yan discovered abnormalities in the ancestral home's strata, predicted that a strong earthquake was coming, and ahead of time reinforced the air-raid shelter and stockpiled supplies. After the earthquake broke out, the ancestral home collapsed, and Lin Yan adhered to safety rules to admit family members in batches, while gradually exposing the truth of Lin Chengzong forging the will and embezzling family property. In the end, the real will left by the grandfather was revealed, and Lin Yan officially took over the air-raid shelter and underground facilities, making the family understand that the core of guarding the home has never been real estate deeds, but the responsibility of protecting lives.
