Xie Fuguang funded her husband Shen Zhizhang's overseas studies and devotedly managed the Shen household. Three years later, Shen Zhizhang returned, bringing along a female military officer named Yunzhi. He insisted on taking her as his wife while constantly belittling Xie Fuguang's contributions. Utterly disillusioned, Xie Fuguang filed for divorce and swiftly divided the family assets. After the divorce, she engaged in thriving trade with foreign merchants. In the nation's hour of crisis, she took up arms and marched onto the battlefield, proving that women are equal to men. Later, she won the admiration and favor of the young marshal, married him, and carved out a brilliant life of her own.
