Lin Xu awakens after 10,000 years of cryogenic sleep to find himself the last remaining human on Earth. Humanity had embarked on a collective deep-space voyage millennia ago in pursuit of higher-dimensional ascension, leaving behind only autonomous machines scattered across the solar system. Unwilling to remain behind alone, he mobilizes the machines to construct 100,000 planetary engines, pushing Earth out of the solar system to retrace humanity's ancient path and begin an interstellar journey carrying his home planet to seek his kin.
