Starting a Business on a Barren Mountain: I Use Knowledge to Make Golden Honey
Song Yang, a graduate of an agricultural university, partnered with his older cousin to raise bees, agreeing to split the profits equally. However, after earning over four million yuan in annual profits, Song Yang received only twenty thousand. His cousin looked down on his professional knowledge, while his fiancée, greedy for wealth, turned her back on him and sided with his cousin. Disheartened, Song Yang used his meager twenty thousand yuan to lease a barren mountain that nobody believed in. Relying on his expertise, he improved the soil and practiced scientific beekeeping. His apiary soon enjoyed a bumper harvest, producing high-quality honey and securing export orders. Meanwhile, his cousin's apiary declined because he cut corners and ignored technical expertise, eventually paying the price for his own wrongdoing. Staying true to his principles, Song Yang helped his neighbors establish a beekeeping cooperative. After realizing his mistakes and turning over a new leaf, his cousin also joined them in working honestly and diligently.
