Reborn in 1975, hunter Chen Tiesheng woke up to find his daughter too starved to cry and his wife emaciated like firewood. Clenching his fists, he vowed never to be pushed around again in this life. Demanding to split the household to live independently, he ventured into the mountains to hunt, grew model crop fields, became the production team leader, and fought his way all the way to provincial recognition. From a dilapidated warehouse to three spacious brick-and-tile rooms, earning the respect of the whole village, he led his brothers and fellow villagers to build a prosperous and thriving life. With brothers reconciled and father and son reunited, nothing felt more solid and grounding than the whole family gathering around the table for New Year's Eve dinner.
