Chen Haisheng returns to his hometown and invests millions to build a pier and roads for the villagers. However, Zhao Defa and his wife Sun Cuilian block construction, extorting 500,000 under the excuse of ruining their geomancy and homestead. He decisively halts construction and executes a backup plan: buying an abandoned fishing port to build another pier. The altered water currents turn the shore in front of the Zhao house into a mudflat. When the Zhao family's wedding yacht is stranded by a typhoon, the wedding is called off. Zhao Xiaolong's fraud, slander, and illegal fishing are all exposed, pushing the family to bankruptcy. After Zhao Xiaolong repents and works hard, and Zhao Defa admits his faults, Chen Haisheng helps resolve their debts and dredges the channel, bringing peaceful prosperity to the fishing village.
